SIZING, REVENUE, AND DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS FOR UTILITY SCALE SOLAR + STORAGE

cOURSE DESCRIPTIONS

This course will describe processes to design and size solar and storage installations at the MW scale. Portions of the course will be devoted to the factors that influence the size of the solar and battery. The battery size is often determined not only by the solar output, but also other revenue factors, markets in which the battery may participate, or functional specifications, and these will be covered with examples. The course will touch on energy storage and battery technical specifications and how they should be evaluated against the intended market such that an appropriate chemistry is selected. Lastly, best practices for design and safety will be discussed.

Who should attend?

Utility professionals, developers, designers, procurement officers and administrators, and operators will be best suited for this course.
