utility risk management: risk! not just a board game

cOURSE DESCRIPTIONS

This course will provide an introduction to risk management. There will be an in-depth discussion on key energy risks, energy risk policies, and an introduction to hedging. Enterprise risk management concepts will also be discussed along with performance of ERM assessments. Each aspect of the risk management cycle will be discussed: Identifying and measuring risk, establishing policies and tolerance, developing a hedging strategy, establishing controls and procedures, executing a hedging and trading strategy, monitoring, managing, reporting, and reassessing.

This course is designed for anyone from entry level staff to senior management who is seeking to broaden their understanding of risk management concepts and best practices.
