Day 1 & 2: O-Calc Pro Software

Gain a comprehensive understanding of O-Calc Pro features, including multi-pole structures, digital measurement technology (DMT), O-Calc LE, and features from the recent O-Calc Pro V5.03 release.

Day 3: O-Calc Pro Line Design

The Line Design program covers the following topics and more:

  • Introduction to Line Design Concept and Use Cases
  • Both options for modelling a line of poles (number of poles is limited only by power/compacity of your machine) typically up to 40 poles.
    • Model a pole from scratch or use an existing model as a baseline to create a line of poles using the Line Wizard (automatically linking spans)
    • Use an existing PPLX file as a baseline model to create a line of poles, add additional PPLX files, and Link them together manually
  • Use the Line Wizard to create a line of poles 
    • Automatically Linked spans & Jumper Cables
  • Perform Linking of existing PPLX files into a Line Design
    • Manual Linking technique
    • Best Practice and tips for linking
  • Perform a Stringing operation
    • Globally add & edit Communication/Conductors within/to the line
  • Use the various Map backgrounds
    • Open Street Map, OMV Tiles, Geo Images
  • Use the 3D View to Activate any pole and perform edits as needed
    • Inventory display of equipment
    • Poles tab display of poles (including pass/fail icons)
  • Navigate the Line Design Tab features
    • File, Edit, Poles, View, Tools, Options, Calculate
