The National Electrical Code® (NEC®) appliesto all persons who perform electrical work.Maintenance electricians, constructionelectricians, instrumentation technicians,engineers, communication technicians andmaintenance technicians are examples ofthose who must have a working knowledgeof the NEC. Whether running power to anew piece of electrical equipment, settingthe overloads on a motor starter, installinga security camera, or replacing fluorescentballast; compliance with the NEC is mandatory.The Code has been adopted as law in all fiftystates and NTT teaches the NEC throughoutthe United States and to global organizationsin various international locations.
This three-day course provides an excellentintroduction to the NEC along with practicalnavigation exercises. The 2017 NEC majorchanges are addressed throughout thecourse for those seeking Code updates.Typical field applications challenge both thenovice and the experienced electrical worker.The course covers topics most needed byelectrical workers including the requirementsfor grounding and bonding, properly sizingconductors and overcurrent protection fordifferent applications, wiring methods, motorinstallation and other general equipmentspecifics and, special topics as requested byattendees.
